Google Ads Management

What is Google Ads?

Previously called AdWords, Google Ads is a digital marketing platform that helps you bring your ads in front of the right customer. It follows a pay-per-click (PPC) model meaning that the advertiser pays only when a customer clicks on their ad.

The most popular type of Google Ads is Search Ads (often referred to as 'Paid Search' or SEM which stands for Search Engine Marketing) which show text ads on the Google search results page. With a market share of 94% in Australia, Google's search engine is truly the place to be if you want to be found by potential customers.

While Search is the most popular Google campaign type, there are some other options to reach your target audience depending on your company's marketing goals and the audience you want to reach.

Google Ads Campaign Types

There are five campaign types that fulfil different marketing goals and offer various ad formats like text ads, image ads or video ads. Often multiple campaign types are used as they complement each other, for example Search and Shopping or Search and Display.

Is Google Ads suitable for my business?

Google Ads can be used to advertise nearly any type of business. Whether you have an e-commerce or a physical store, provide advice or services, information or are a not-for-profit organisation, with Google Ads you can bring your message in front of the right people.

The most important requirements are that you have a well-structured website and provide ways for people to interact with your business, for example, allow people to send you a contact form, give you a call or make a purchase.

Our Approach to Google Ads Management

We offer full-service Google Ads management from the initial consultation to mapping out a strategy, build your campaigns and optimise them over time.

Every business is different, so we take the time to plan a strategy that suits your business needs and budget. The initial setup phase includes in-depth keyword and audience research, understanding your business goals, building your campaigns and setting up conversion tracking as well as your own customised reporting dashboard. It also includes a one-hour training session to introduce you to the basics of Google Ads and create a shared basis for communication.

Since Google campaigns aren't a 'set and forget', we monitor and optimise your campaigns on an ongoing basis. This includes weekly campaign 'health checks' and looking for improvement opportunities, for example, test new keywords, ad copy or audiences. In addition to the day-to-day client communication, we catch up once a month to review performance and plan the next steps.

There is a number of factors that should be considered when working out your ideal starting budget. If you don't know how much you should spend to see results, get in touch with JK Digital and we will work out a strategy and budget plan together.
